Following the recent closure of the Falcon at Tadley, West Berkshire punters have a new lap-dancing venue in Newbury:

Dunno whether the male lap-dancers will do stage dances or if male and female lap-dances will take place in the same part of the premises..
I may be revealing double standards when I say the thought of even glimpsing men preening would make me want never to go near the place.
XX CLOSED Secrets, Newbury
They fib, they aren't the first! I remember listing quite a few on this site when I originally copied everything into it from trash city - I think I may have put 'for girls' in the title... but I could be wrong. Then I banned someone for having a pop at me for listing them. I think one was Ceasars... but that's just a guess - and I'm too lazy to search!!!!!!!

I've just checked "What do you think about this story" in the Newbury Weekly News link in my first post. Just one comment about Secrets, and its author is in favour. The good people of Newbury seem less concerned about the impact of lap-dancing on their town than are their counterparts in Henley, and appear to be more bothered about jaywalking pedestrians and spelling and grammar errors in other people's posts.
But see
here
for a rather scrappy debate on the venue.
PS Were GSOB to dance at Secrets and be asked to give a private dance to another male, could he refuse without infringing the Sex Discrimination laws?
I believe that at established venues some girls (perhaps a minority) decline to do PDs for female patrons.

Today's Newbury Weekly News reports that Secrets was already to launch when the owners of the building's lease objected because lap-dancing hadn't been mentioned in the business plan submitted by the venue.
A readers' poll had 57% in favour of a lap-dancing venue in Newbury, 37% against and 6% couldn't care.
