Up for renewal again

"The application ... asks for opening hours from 10pm until 3.30am - and from 6pm until 4.30am on York Racecourse race days. And, following a council consultation, no objections ... have been received."

They did obtain a renewal of the licence about a year ago – but the venue is now listed as ‘permanently closed’ on Google.

This venue has gone. The building which housed it is due to be demolished.

In December 2022, York Council's planning committee approved an application to construct a new building consisting of a ground floor music venue and office space at 3-5 Toft Green. The existing buildings - which had included Fibbers music venue/nightclub and Black Orchid gentlemen's club - to be demolished under these plans.

Initially the plan was just for office buildings but that was rejected, with Councillors insisting that a music venue be retained there.
