It's probably a sign of the times that the objections to the SEV licence were raised by rival businesses, and not the 'usual suspects'!

Browsing the City Vaults Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/cityvaultsnewcastle they have topless dancers on match days which indicates that the SEV licence is valid.
Can't find anything about Whiskey Down though - surprising in view of the struggle they had to get the licence.

Finally open after 3 years.

Whiskey Down will be open seven nights a week, from 7pm on a Friday, 5pm on a Saturday and 9pm on a Sunday-Thursday.
