Visited the other week: standard private dance price seems to have risen to £20.

I don't know, but the fact that there is a road in between the Corny and the Foresters might be a clue. Developing a single block is normal - and it's not a small area in that block. A slight refinement to all of this, though it's something I haven't checked for a long time.

However, as the pub has drinking up time, so the dancing goes on after 11 if there are sufficient punters for walkabouts, and until all requested PDs have been enjoyed.

I reckon this won't have changed.

I'd hoped to pay a return visit, but someone else at work got to travel to Essex.

Monday to Friday is the pattern, with, I believe, two dancers on Mondays and Fridays, three other nights.

I'm hoping I may be in Essex again soon: can anyone confirm that dancers are still going strong here?

In particular, is the sensuous Ebony (in and out of her fishnet dresses) still arousing and delighting the crowds?

I think the stairs are a way of sorting out the piss artists from the rest. Only the reasonably sober make it to the top!

Called in a few weeks back, and it was busier than I have seen in a while (though I can't claim to be a regular). Only two girls dancing, so some queuing problems, as they were both popular for PDs.

I have been there both before and after the makeover of the pub. Is it me? Or was it actually a nicer place before? I think the programme was emphasising the tough part: and playing for laughs. But dancers' lib should rule, everywhere - decent changing room, and not having to pay for the music ...
